VOLUNTEER Opportunities Postering: Description: Putting up posters in area businesses to advertise upcoming performances Volunteers Needed: 1-4 Time Required: 6x per year (August, September, October, January, March, April) For all 100 posters: 4 hours; for 50 posters, 2 hours.
Concert Logistics: Description: Assisting BSO staff, board, and symphony musicians as needed with set-up, tear down, merchandise sales, guest artist refreshments, and other duties as assigned. Volunteers Needed: 1-4 Time Required: 5x per year (October, November, February, March, May) Depending on duty, 1-3 hours.
Educational Outreach Volunteers: Description: Assist BSO Staff with two educational programs including the 5th Grade Concert (September 12) and Young Artist Competition (TBD—January). Duties include folding programs, walking kids from school bus into the community center and into their seats (and back), and assisting as needed. Volunteers Needed: 5-10 Time Required: 5th Grade Concert, September 12, 2018, 10 am – 2 pm
Office Assistance Description: Assist with the Development and Operations Director with general office work Volunteers Needed: 1-2 Time Required: As needed, once or twice per year for scrap booking, office clean-up, and mailings.
