Recently new staff has been added to the Symphony Management, Nan Buhlinger, General Manager and Linda Cubbage, Development Director.

Buhlinger comes from a varied arts background as violinist and arts administrator.  She was co-founder and executive director of the OK Mozart Festival for many years.  She retired from the Festival 3 years ago.  Cubbage has been a fund raising executive for many years, also having been associated with OK Mozart.  They join Lauren Green, Music Director-Conductor who has been with the orchestra for 27 seasons.  Mike May, Bartlesville business leader, is president of the Board of Directors.

Concerts are held in the Bartlesville Community Center on Saturday evenings at 8 p.m.   Previous to each concert at 7, “Upbeat with Lauren” a pre-concert talk about that night’s music with Lauren Green takes place in the hall.  Designed by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, the Community Center, with its curves and natural coloring, blends into its surroundings in Wright’s “organic” style.  The sculptural contours, pitch and beauty of the concert hall as well as its remarkable acoustics, create a very comfortable ambience. Along with Frank Lloyd Wright’s Price Tower, the building is one of many architectural treasures in Bartlesville.

Bringing great artists at a reasonable ticket price is one of the goals of the organization.  Reserved seat subscription for five major concerts, are only $110 for adults and $55 for students.   At the door tickets will be available only one month before each concert.  Buying a subscription represents over a 30% savings from at the door prices.

The Bartlesville Symphony has been performing in concert for almost fifty years.  Under the dynamic leadership of Music Director Lauren Green, the symphony soars to new heights this season with a good orchestra, outstanding musicians and an exciting repertoire.

The Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra is funded in part by the Oklahoma Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
