October 13. 2018 Big Band Bonanza The musical barriers come down as the BSO Big Band debuts playing right alongside the Symphony! Great jazz blends with orchestral pops favorites for a musical event like none other. Plus, astounding pianist and entertainer Barron Ryan joins the whole crew in the jazziest piano concerto you’ll ever groove to—Kapustin’s rarely heard Concerto No. 2. November 17. 2018 Summer Variations Cello fireworks will abound, with rising star Clancy Newman. Virtuoso variations by Tchaikovsky will team up with orchestral variations by Brahms. Plus Newman’s own solo “Summer” will heat things up, while a summer-themed orchestral showpiece by Oscar-winning film composer Lee Holdridge will round out the program. A sizzling smorgasbord of orchestral delights right in the middle of autumn!
February 9. 2019 Heart & Soul The Bartlesville Symphony’s annual celebration of musical romance returns for you and your valentine! Great pops favorites, classical gems, and as always, a few surprises thrown in for spice will show you why this has become an audience favorite. March 23. 2019 Pianistic Passion Internationally acclaimed pianist Daniel Epstein comes to Bartlesville for the first time, anchoring this stirring concert with Rachmaninoff’s soaring Piano Concerto No. 2. This veteran pianist brings with him a career of accomplishment in the great music centers of the world. Two other masterpieces will set the stage for this memorable performance, Wagner’s Prelude to Lohengrin and Hanson’s Symphony No. 2 “Romantic”. Classics all around!
May 4. 2019--CONCERT STARTS AT 8 PM! I Love the 80's! Jeans ‘n Classics returns with all those great hits from the 1980’s! How can we forget “Walk Like an Egyptian,” “Love Shack,” “She Blinded Me With Science,” or “Careless Whispers?” Eight great musicians join with the Bartlesville Symphony performing these and many more of your favorites, taking us all back to the days of big hair, denim jackets and boom boxes.
